Bio:

Hi, my name is Isaac Teixeira.
I was born on the Central Coast of California in San Luis Obispo. Growing up I always encouraged by my parents  to draw, create, and explore my creativity. Throughout my childhood I spent a large amount of time outside. Drawing inspiration from nature and artist like Andy Goldsworthy and Barry & Tracy Kane; I started building rock sculptures, fairy houses, daisy chains, etc.  I have always had a deep appreciation for outdoors and feel like still use the natural world as my reference for my art.

As my art developed, I was inspired to use the laws of nature as my guide, but I was also became interested in breaking the rules and creating altered realities.  I started collaging images together on the computer using Microsoft Powerpoint, until my parents got ahold of a copy photoshop (PS5).  This gave me a newfound eye for detail and allowed me to explore endless creativity.

Around the age of 13, I started exploring film and photography and began learning to use a camera, basic editing, and visual story telling.  I wasn’t long before curiosity got the best of me, and I began wondering how films like, Wallace and Gromit, James and The Giant Peach, Gumby, and Nightmare Before Christmas were made. I began using a time-lapse software to make simple animations of objects moving, changing, or creating my own “special effects.”  I fell in love with the process of sculpting, animating, and creating a little world at my fingertips. At 15, I made first short film for a high school project and have never stopped dreaming about making stop-motion. Since then I’ve worked on numerous videos including short films, music videos, and lots of silly little clips for the gram.
